{{ The truth is that I'm asking you to lie, and we both know that it ain't right. But if you ever loved me, please, have some mercy on me... }}- Jason Aldean------------
So, I made this manip... just to get back into the swing of things. I didn't make it specifically for this song. But once it was finished, I realized that it went pretty well with the lyrics, so I added them, and voila.
Basically, the story behind the image corresponds with the song, except that it's with a horse, not human. The horse lost its best friend/mate/whatever you want to call it. (Or, in human terms, he was dumped ) Going along with the lyrics, the horse tries to put on a brave, confident face, but inside, he's hit rock-bottom.
So, looking at the image, the horse appears to be tough and doing well, but if you look at where he is... He's in a completely desolate, lonely, dark area. He's just wandering aimlessly, trying to make sense of it all. (Woot. I think I just wrote a horsey soap opera! )
Now, for the technicalities: Cut out the horse, smudged it slightly. (Just the face - it's nearly impossible to smudge dapples without messing them up.) Then I added mane and tail (without my tablet. I absolutely despise the tail -.-) Next, I transfered the horse to the background, and played around with it for a while until I got the perfect position.
After that, I added a texture to give it this brown/autumn-ish feel. (Has anyone else noticed that my gallery is basically full of manips with a blue color scheme? I have, and it was bugging me, so I went for a different color this time. Did it turn out okay? .)
And that's a wrap. xD------------
