I'm actually really happy with this image

Anyway, since it's coming up on Halloween, I thought I'd make something a little "spooky". Well, this one isn't that scary, but notice how the horse is fading away? It's a ghost horse 8O Lmao. I was leaning towards doing something macabre with more wounds and creepy stuff, but I just left it as is xD

The original stock horse was a chocolate Rocky Mountain Horse... I had the mane all blonde/silvery, and the coat was still brown. But then I decided that I wanted everything to be black. So I had to desaturate everything, play with curves, until I got it where I wanted it.

Then I started looking for backgrounds. I went through about 3 different ones, until I settled on this. If you look at the original background, you'll see a bunch of planes in the background. Let me tell you, they were a pain in the #$! to remove Cloning tool, healing tool, painting, blurring, smudging. Ick.

And yeah, apparently I have an obsession with horses + flowers.... xDD

Oh, and most of it is supposed to be fairly unfocused (excluding the horse) because there's a ton of mist flying around.
